Kelsey Creek Church is looking for a Worship Director. The Worship Director helps to promote and lead the congregation in weekly worship and seasonal and/or special worship gatherings. This person will serve the church in the implementation of its mission and vision of worship through direct oversight, and he/she will build teams who will use their gifts in worship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Worship Advisory Team in setting the direction for worship ministries that is in line with the overall church mission, vision, values, and strategic plans, engaging in annual goal setting and evaluation for ministry activities
- Promote worship that praises God, inspires and edifies the church community, and fosters faith development for a range of ages and stages of faith
- Incorporate a range of music styles, purposeful use of the arts, and an intentional mix of the new and the familiar to enhance the worship experience
- Lead planning and execution of worship services that are authentic, honor God through excellence, and have Biblical and doctrinal integrity
- Collaborate with the preaching pastor for continuity of message
- Lead or participate in a majority of services (typically 5 of 6 Sundays plus special services)
- Use rehearsal time to effectively prepare for services
- Serve as accountability coach for volunteer worship leaders, mentoring and providing feedback on plans - Effectively build, equip, and lead the team of volunteer worship leaders, musicians, vocalists, and A/V personnel to run the worship ministries, including participants of all ages
- Oversee equipment and technology use in the worship ministry, collaborating with staff and volunteers with technical expertise to achieve the desired outcomes
- Maintain the music library with songs that have accurate gospel-centered theology, singable melodies, and themes that connect worshippers to God, to God’s people, and to God’s mission in the world; ensure compliance with licensing agreements
- Promote compliance with the Safe Church policies in worship ministry activities
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- Demonstrates the virtues and qualities of a devoted, mature follower of Jesus
- General understanding and appreciation of the Reformed tradition of the Christian faith
- A gracious team player who is committed to the mission, vision, and values of Kelsey Creek Church
- Meets the biblical qualifications for elders as outlined in scripture (i.e. 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5)
- Ability to make a positive contribution to staff and volunteer culture that aspires to hospitality, service, teamwork, integrity, and excellence
- Be/become a regular attendee and member of Kelsey Creek Church
- Demonstrated musical gifting and experience required - musical experience in a local church preferred
- Previous experience with church ministry leadership preferred
Other Specifications:
- Work schedule: Typical work schedule includes Sunday Events and 2-3 days in the office Monday through Friday, approximately 20 hours/week.
- Working Conditions: Due to seasonal activity, job duties may at times require additional hours and availability outside normal working hours. May require flexibility to adjust work schedule from time to time to work early or later than regular schedule.
- Reports to: Kelsey Creek Church’s Lead Pastor, Administrative Team, and Council
- FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly 0.5 FTE (estimated 20 hours per week)
- Compensation: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
- Paid-time off: 60 hours per year and sick-leave
