Kelsey Creek Church was planted as Bellevue Christian Reformed Church on the Eastside in 1967 to introduce people to Jesus Christ and to nurture their faith through all ages and stages of life. We have seen God work in many powerful ways, and we have seen many lives tangibly transformed by the good news of Jesus Christ; however, the world around us has changed tremendously in the five plus decades that we have existed, and we have been reimagining how we equip people to follow Jesus in a rapidly- and ever-changing world.
When we celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2018, we made a commitment to more intentionally connect with and serve our community. We even paid off our mortgage so that we could dedicate more of our resources to outreach. While the pandemic delayed many of our plans; by God’s grace our commitment to connect with and serve our community remains as strong as ever.
In the spring of 2022, we took some important steps to begin making this a reality. We unveiled a new vision statement, we began to reimagine spiritual formation for a new day and age, we restructured our budget to better support our partners, and we even changed our church name. Each of these changes is significant in its own right; however, there is still much work to do.
As we head into the future, we invite you to join us in this work. We invite you to pray for God’s leading, we invite you to practice our 1+1 rhythm, and we invite you to help us continue to become a hub where friends and neighbors can find community and experience tangible transformation through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
