We want students (6th – 12th graders) at Kelsey Creek Church to discover a faith of their own, see
themselves as vital members of the church (present and future), and be shaped and equipped to
follow Jesus in all seasons of life. We also realize that students are busy and, at times, overwhelmed.
That's why our mission and programming is designed to connect each student with adults and peers
who can walk through life with them.
Sunday Mornings
We offer two gatherings for students on Sunday mornings*, September—May, after our weekly
worship gathering.
- Next Gen (6 th – 10 th graders) meet in the Youth Room for food, games, and big idea teaching
from scripture that’s centered on the good news about Jesus. - Youth Group (11 th and 12 th graders) host their own table at the adult Spiritual Formation
class where they participate in the broader teaching. Students then break off for better snacks
and discussion with their friends (rather than their parents’ friends).
*Kids Connect doesn’t meet on holiday weekends (e.g. Thanksgiving break, Christmas, etc.) or on the
first Sunday of the month, because we share churchwide meal on the first Sunday of each month.
Sunday Nights
High school students (9 th – 12 th grade) gather in the evening (typically 6:00-8:00pm) on the first and
third Sunday for food, games, prayer, and discussion around topics that are relevant to students' lives
(all topics are rooted in scripture, and most are suggested by students). Sunday Night Youth Group is
a great place to talk about real life issues with peers, and it’s also a great place to grow in your faith
and/or to explore the Christian faith.
In addition to the regular programming listed above, we invite students to participate in retreats, mission/service projects and trips, and other special activities throughout the year. Check out the Church Calendar, which includes KCSM events and activities.
